I am in turmoil… do I write about this do I not write about this…. Trying to find out more about my history is a major job that pushes and pulls me – one minute I want to know and the next I don’t. Where this journey will end who knows – what I do know is that it hasn’t been a straight line!
So Dominichen is back and as Uniquely Dominican wasn’t actively used for over a year I combined the two.
They are part of my social blogging platform called Influencer for serious bloggers looking to promote their services/products/books online. It is all part of my business that I have been running since 2007 using the internet to make a full time income while living anywhere in the world.
I came online in 2005 and getting to where I am now was not a straight line journey either – but then nothing is with me
I have a ‘store’ I can set up on here but nothing to sell right now. I can also set up a forum but prefer to use Dominican Diaspora…
http://www.dominican-diaspora.com
Uniquely Dominican was started by a group of members from Dominican Diaspora (I linked to their profile below but you need to be a logged in member to see them)
and myself Diane Corriette
The idea was to chart history, tradition and every thing about Dominica we could but time commitments made contributing to it on a regular basis difficult and right now as I have no idea what to do with the domain I have ‘parked’ it here which means whether you visit uniquely dominican or dominichen you will find them both here.
I thought I would relight the fire under it a little and focus on whatever I can find on Dominica itself during my short visit and also focusing on the village I want to live in when I return – Fond St Jean….
Villages in Parish Of Saint Patrick
My Father’s land… Fond St Jean, Dominica and my grand mother was born there and my great grandmother lived there.
It is my desire to get back there one day so I will keep on writing but I have no idea how often… other commitments and stuff.
Saint Patrick is one of Dominica’s 10 administrative parishes.
It is bordered by St. George, St. Luke and St. Mark to the west, and St. David to the north.
Other villages include:
- Bagatelle
- Bellevue Chopin (also in St. George)
- Bordeaux
- Delices
- Dubuc
- Geneva
- Hagley Montine
- Petite Savanne
- Pichelin
- Pointe Caribe
- Ravine Banane
- Stowe
- Tete Morne
Grand Bay
While Grand Bay is not in this Parish I am going to include information about this area too because it is another place I loved to visit and will highlight some of the things going on there.
For now my only route to find information is the internet until I can make more solid connections with people in those parts of the island. If you are from the St Patrick Parish of Dominica and you want to add anything here I welcome the input!
Seriously, this is the LAST TIME I move them
